Dr. Samuel Levin
Founder, President and CTO
Dr. Samuel Levin founded Avalon Net in 2000 and since then has served as its President and CTO.
He brings to Avalon Net over 18 years of experience in a wide range of R&D and business areas: leading large-scale R&D teams from concept phase to commercial products, managing multi-discipline projects, managing after-sales support services, and more.
He is familiar with both local and multi-national financial and telecom organizations. Prior to Avalon Net, Samuel was Researcher at Tandem Labs, CIO & Technical Manager of ATL Systems SA in Switzerland, Large Projects Manager for NetManage in Israel, and VP Engineering of FREIM in Germany. In all these positions he was the leader of Systems and Network Management projects and development.
Samuel holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. (cum laude) degrees in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Riga, USSR. He has published several noteworthy technology papers in professional computer and software magazines.
Matan Reiman
VP Sales & Business Development
Matan Reiman joined Avalon Net in July 2007 as VP Sales & Business Development.
He brings to Avalon Net 14 years of experience in the IT industry, both from the business and technical aspects. Prior to joining Avalon Net, Matan was VP Sales & Marketing at You! (a We! Consulting group company), VP Business Continuity at Xpert-One1, VP Technology & Projects at Insight Computers Technologies, MIS at RED-C Optical Networks, Network & System Manager at Osem. Matan is a well-known presenter & speaker in the IT industry.
Matan was a member of unit 180 while serving the IAF (Israeli Air Force), he holds a B.Sc. degree in computer science & management from the Open University in Israel.
Dr. Israel Gold
Chief System Architect
Dr. Israel Gold joined Avalon Net in October 2005.
He brings to this position over 30 years of top level R&D experience in the IT industry, primarily with software products. His expertise lies in Storage Management, TCP/IP Communication, and Distributed Application Development, as well as object-oriented design and GUI based applications. Prior to Avalon Net, Israel was System Architect for WiGo Technologies and for SANgate Systems, Project Leader for 10 years in the IBM R&D labs in Haifa, Team Leader at Elscint, Haifa, System Engineer at Teradata, Berkley, USA, and System Integrator at Elbit, Haifa. Israel holds B.Sc., M.Sc., and D.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the Technion in Haifa, Israel.
He has published several scientific papers on Computer Science in the WW leading engineering press .
